Museum of the Moving Image is the country's only museum dedicated to the art, history, technique, and technology of the moving image in all its forms. Embracing a wide range of subjects, from nineteenth century optical toys to the latest in digital art, the Museum explores every phase of the production, promotion, and exhibition of moving images. Students visiting the museum can take part in an interactive tour of movie making history in the core exhibition "Behind the Screen," a visit to "The Jim Henson Exhibition," and/or join a variety of multimedia workshops and screening programs.

We are thrilled to announce a full portfolio of fieldtrips and media workshops, both in-person and virtual, adaptable to any age group and subject matter.
