Join Public Education Coordinator Julie Clover for a special behind the scenes video series in the Dole Archives for elementary aged students and families. The Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics celebrates public service and promotes civil discourse and the legacy of Senator Bob Dole by providing public programming, research and educational opportunities, a museum gallery, and other offerings. Museum gallery features include the world’s largest stained-glass American flag, the brand-new Kansas Veterans Virtual Memory Wall and World Trade Center beams. It is home to the Robert and Elizabeth Dole Archive & Special Collections, which includes over 35 years of congressional papers, as well as objects and materials that highlight the leadership legacies of Senators Bob and Elizabeth Dole.
The mission of the Dole Institute of Politics is to promote political and civic participation as well as civil discourse in a bi-partisan, balanced manner.
The Dole Institute offers a variety of educational programming to fit the needs of K-12 students, including onsite visits to the Dole Institute, outreach visits into your classroom, or online access to our digital archives!
ON-SITE

ONLINE
Access the digital archive collections online for thousands of digital documents and photographs. We are slowly digitizing our materials – at about 85,000 pages, we are only 1% complete! Authentic primary sources are an excellent use of resources for Kansas College and Career Ready Standards.
Virtual class presentations are also available. Please contact Julie Clover (jclover@ku.edu; 785-864-1420), Public Education Coordinator, to schedule and for more information.
