Large Group Programs
Description
Join us on a global animal adventure! During this 30-minute program, your explorers will meet 3 of our animal ambassadors from different continents and diverse habitats. Your students will learn how animals adapt to their environments and how we can help their populations thrive.

Available Time Slots: 10 am, 10:45 am, 11:30 am, and 12:15 pm
October 14, 2024 - March 28, 2025: Maximum Capacity is 95 per program (Students and chaperones combined)
April 2025 - June 2025: Maximum capacity is 200 per program (Students and chaperones combined)
Pricing:
$12 per student over 29 students
Title 1: $7 per student over 50 students
The minimum fee is $350.
Title 1 Chaperone/teacher: $7 tickets
Non-Title 1 Chaperone/teacher: $12
One FREE adult chaperone for every 10 students.
General Admission is included in your program
Digital learning resources are included in your program
*Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks before the date of your visit.
Field Trips are non-refundable. Habitats, attractions, or entertainment may close due to refurbishing, capacity, weather, special events, or change in operating hours without notice and liability to the Virginia Zoo.

Our school and group programs are great for any group – not just schools! Scouts, homeschool groups, libraries, senior centers, and more can all enjoy these exciting offerings. These programs give participants a memorable, fun, and highly educational way to learn about animals and conservation.
All programs are age-appropriate and complement the Virginia Standards of Learning along with curriculum requirements in North Carolina and for private schools. Scouts can also complete certain badge requirements; ask us for more information!
Behind the Scenes Tours
We share our reservation portal with our school programs. Guests that are reserving a Behind-the-Scenes Tour, don't be alarmed when the site asks for teachers' information and school information.

The invoice is sent to the email listed on the request form. Payment can be made through the link in the email or over the phone.
Payment needs to be done ASAP once you receive your invoice.
For all reservation requests, there must be a 10-day notice of the date requested.
