In "My City," students will explore what makes a community thrive by thinking about the key elements of a city. They’ll engage in brainstorming sessions, a scavenger hunt to discover aspects of their own city, and hands-on activities to build model cities. The experience concludes with group discussions and presentations, helping students understand the roles and responsibilities within a community.
This option allows you to bring your group for a PRIVATE visit to Akron Children’s Museum on days we are closed to the public. You and your group will have the entire museum to yourselves!
Please note that there is $350 minimum fee to reserve the museum for a private, self-guided visit. This fee includes admission for up to 50 guests. Additional tickets can be purchased at $7 per adult and $11 per student.
Akron Children’s Museum is a vibrant space where play inspires exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
Located in downtown Akron next to Lock 3 Park, the museum offers hands-on exhibits focused on Health and Wellness, STEM, Arts and Culture, and Community and Civic Engagement.
What is a Children's Museum?
A children’s museum is a special kind of museum designed specifically for kids and their families, where play and hands-on activities are central to the experience. Children's museums create environments where kids can touch, build, experiment, and imagine while learning at the same time.
