Alongside local partners, GHM&P will provide activities and experiences at Golden History Park. All demonstrations and crafts will be linked to late 19th and early 20th century Colorado history, and suitable for K-5 students. Watch a blacksmith in action and learn about life on the frontier! Bring our fun, game based program, “Building Colorado” to your fourth grade classrooms! The game combines Colorado history, geography and economics in an exciting 90-minute lesson, led by museum staff.

Building Colorado fulfills fourth grade content standards by using game situations to challenge students’ critical thinking skills and let them experience first-hand, the opportunity cost of making choices about the Colorado Gold Rush, railroads, and more.
