The Engineering Design Explorer field trip offers students a dynamic, hands-on experience focused on the engineering design process. Through a variety of activities and collaborative challenges, students will learn to conceptualize, design, and build, exploring different skills in our woodshop, textiles studio, tech lab and more. This program encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the engineering process and the confidence to bring their ideas to life.

The Tech Explorer field trip is an immersive educational experience designed for students to engage in practical, hands-on activities that explore the fundamentals of technology. Participants will delve into the fascinating world of conductivity, learn to build and understand circuits, and gain introductory skills in coding and robotics. This field trip will inspire curiosity, enhance problem-solving skills, and provide a foundational knowledge that prepares students for future technological endeavors.

The Engineering Design Explorer field trip offers students a dynamic, hands-on experience focused on the engineering design process. Students will learn about the Engineering Design Process while collaborating on a series of design challenges that spark innovative thinking. They will flex their problem solving skills and practice iterative design while exploring a variety of maker skills, including textiles, electronics, and robotics.

The Tech Explorer field trip is an immersive educational experience designed for students to explore how technology is used in a variety of maker settings. From robotics and coding to circuits and more, students will be challenged to ask how technology can be used to creatively solve problems.

A flexible opportunity to bring students’ designs to life with KID’s tools and materials.

How does it work? Students arrive with project ideas in hand. KID’s expert Maker Educators will be their personal pit crew, providing the materials, tools, and guidance they need to transform those ideas into reality. Imagine the possibilities: Woodshop wonders, textile triumphs, electronic extravaganzas, and cardboard creations beyond compare!

A Girl Scout workshop is the perfect way to offer your troop a maker-based experience that fulfills the requirements of a Girl Scout badge.

Pricing: $35 per child, a minimum of $525 per workshop.
