90 minutes to freely explore the exhibits! Wonderscope exhibits meet Kansas and Missouri state educational standards for early childhood and K-2. Available mornings and afternoons, Tuesday-Friday. Exploration Field Trip groups are limited to 1 adult chaperone for every 5 children. (Adult chaperones include teachers and paraprofessionals.)

The Regnier Family Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City is a fully accessible, nonprofit children’s museum dedicated to providing STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math – educational experiences for young children.
Wonderscope features 30,000 square feet of indoor exploration and 1/2 acre of year-round outdoor adventure, all with a unique Kansas City theme. Wonderscope’s mission is to inspire a lifelong love of learning through the universal and uniting power of play. Two school field trip options are available:
Exploration Field Trip: 90 minutes to freely explore the [exhibits][2]. Available mornings and afternoons, Tuesday-Friday. Costs $5 per child age 2+.
Adventure Field Trip: 60 minutes of structured programming through museum exhibits, led by Wonderscope program staff in character. Available Tuesday-Friday mornings during the academic year. Costs $8 per child.
Details
- Field trips must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
- Minimum number in group: 8
- Maximum number in group, including students, teachers, and chaperones: 100 for Exploration field trip; 75 for Adventure field
trip.
- Teachers are free. Chaperones are free with a 1:5 ratio. Any chaperone over the ratio pays the per-child fee (Chaperones must be
age 18 or older).
